all apologies, i was broken...
...still am, really, but i am getting better. ;)
ok. so i haven't updated the site in a few days weeks. i'm sorry it's been so long, i have really good excuses, i promise.
most notably, one might consider this bone sticking out of my neck.
you see, i broke my right clavicle in mid-march... (a type 1, comminuted, angular, open fracture), and i've been walking around the house like t-rex ever since. (picture a highly medicated geek, growling over useless arms that claw ineffectively at the space in front of him).
i have, however, still been writing... nothing of worth, mind you, thus these posts are precariously likely to exist for an eternity in the purgatory of draft form. perhaps one day i will get inspired to finish / publish them.
probably not.
recognizing this distinct possibility probability, i suspect it folly to procrastinate any longer, and propose we just go forward from here then, mmm-kay?

ok. i think i have finally hammered the mt framework into a state that is boring enough for employ on this site. mad props to jorge and the pig for their assistance with this deployment. i'm still working on some of the superflous functionality (list update scripts) but that's relatively froofy. guess all that is left now is to put a big fat redirect on the old site, and.. uh...
...write something?

new tires, or whole new car
investigating the import / export format of the MT suite, I think it would be pretty straightforward to create some scripts which could convert the old bb.com entries into archives under this schema.
the question is, do i want to?

brave new world
this is a test of the new world of MT
mastah-blastah site admin rm hooked me up with the new kit, and now it's up to me to see if i can make something of it. still tweaking the look and feel, but hopefully this will all be ready to go for cut over in the new year.
soo much to learn.

re:start
long story short: i neglected to post here for a few days. then weeks. then...
...bolstered thus with the inertia of procrastination, i decided to label my neglect as a sabbatical of sorts, a break in the routine with the improbably ignorant motive of wrist-healing.
having recently returned from an all-too-short holiday to colorado, (including a possibly too-long roundtrip roadtrip), it is suddenly clear that all the time in the world won't definitively cure WHD, and i've got some things i should try to formulate in text, as they are making an unholy mess of my background thought processes.
er.. it's time to start plotting again. or something.

wrist hurt disease
yah, yah, i know it's been ages since i've posted. a recent flare up of whd has had me cringing from keyboards much the way oft reused comforters at seedy motels avoid the sterilizing embrace of a washing machine. (or is that vice versa?)
truth be told, i have been busy, and a handful of recent project ideas seem to have started developing some momentum, much to their own credit. as it turns out, some of those changes will be felt here.
...but i'm getting ahead of myself. one step at a time, and we'll cross that road when we come to it.
